Watch this exciting 8-minute video:"When New England Prays 2008: The New England Alliance Prayer Movement Vision"

“When New England Prays 2008” is a Spirit-breathed initiative introduced by our partner organization, the New England Alliance. It is an invitation to the leaders of the six New England states to embrace a vision for transformation.

How will this be implemented?

“When New England Prays 2008” will be implemented through monthly prayer gatherings, special events, and cooperative efforts.

Monthly Prayer Gatherings:
Each month the New England Alliance holds a gathering at various central New England locations.  These are opportunities for new leaders to pray with us and embrace our vision.

Special Events:
The New England Alliance is hosting the following events:
1. New England Prayer Journey:  A prayer journey through the 6 New England states on June 3-5 to pray with state leaders, to hear the Lord’s call, and to join together in this movement.  Our proposed plan is to have meetings in Portland, ME; Concord, NH; Windsor, VT; Northampton, MA; Kensington, CT; Smithfield, RI; and Boston, MA.
2. 10 Days of Prayer:  On May 1-11 leaders and intercessors will be holding a vigil in Northfield, MA from the National Day of Prayer until the Global Day of Prayer.

3. Next Generation Events:  States are encouraged to hold their own gatherings to invite the “next generation” into this vision.
4. Solemn Assembly:  On October 4, at a location to be determined, all New England is invited to a day of prayer, worship, repentance, and declarations of promises of united action among the states of New England.  This will include a time of ministry and empowerment for “the next generation.”
5. Cooperative Efforts:  (a) The New England Alliance supports all existing efforts related to our vision and will encourage all leaders to integrate our vision into all the good things the Lord is already doing.  This will include the National Day of Prayer (May 1), the Global Day of Prayer (May 11), and other state, county, and community-based events.
(b) In addition, New Hampshire and Cape Cod have issued special challenges to unite in prayer until the revival comes.

What is the “next generation” vision about?

The New England Alliance leaders have continually felt impressed that this movement includes calling our youth and young adults to play a key role in God’s plan for our region.  Our intention is to continue to pray into this vision and integrate this emphasis in all our gatherings.
