A Prophetic Declaration for Boston

Dr. Paul Jehle
Senior Pastor

New Testament Church of Cedarville

God always plants a city, state or nation with a covenant. The United States, and particularly Boston, began on the basis of a Godly covenant. God holds us to the covenants we make with Him. Thus we are here to proclaim what has already been proclaimed.

Boston is called by God to be the cradle of liberty. However, before external liberty could be born, internal liberty in Christ, under His government, had to be embraced.

Throughout the first 300 years of our history, days of “humiliation, fasting and prayer” were regularly called by church and civil leaders for calamities of all kinds. Natural disasters, famine, sword and pestilence were reasons to pray. Attacks from our spiritual enemy were reasons to pray. Moral calamities of sin that devastated marriage, children and the family were reasons to pray. Backslidden churches were reasons to pray. Civil government that seeks to rule outside of its godly jurisdictional bounds was also a reason to pray.

For one or more of these reasons, more than 300 days of humiliation, fasting and prayer were called from 1620 to 1800 here in New England. Days of Thanksgiving were called in answer to these prayers. Suffice it to say that New England has a rich history of knowing how and when to pray, rejoicing in the name of Jehovah when He answers those prayers. More

8th Annual Pastors Prayer Summit

Dates and time: Tuesday, March 20th, 1:00pm - Thursday, March 22nd, 11:00am

Location: Wonderland Conference Center

10 Capen Hill Rd

Sharon MA 02067

Tom Griffith, Senior Pastor, River of Life Church, writes: I want to encourage you to register today for one of the most significant events in our area this year: a gathering of pastors and full-time ministry leaders for two full days of prayer and relationship building for our eighth Boston Prayer Summit. Spouses are welcome.

Purpose

We'll gather to worship, pray and be together, focusing on the Lord Jesus Christ.  We'll wait on Him, encounter His presence and care for each other.  If you have not been to a Summit before, this may sound intimidating, but I can assure you it is very "user friendly."

We hope God will lead 80-90 of us together one more step toward functional unity, developing trusting relationships that lead to effective cooperative ministry efforts and His destiny for our great city.

Cost

The cost is $100. (Add $15 after March 9.) If that is prohibitive for you, please let us know. This includes:

  • Five meals

  • Snacks

  • Double occupancy room (add $30 for a single)

This is an investment of time and money that will yield great returns for you personally and for the advance of God's Kingdom in Boston. To keep costs as low as possible, please let us know if you can help with a subsidy, or know someone who would help.

Invite others

Is there anyone else you might also invite to come with you?  Your personal invitation is very important.

Praise and Worship Event

Date: Friday, March 23
Time: 7:30 – 9:30 pm

Location: Tremont Temple Baptist Church

88 Tremont Street

Boston MA  02108

For the second time this year, the Lord is prompting His people to gather at Tremont Temple. Join with fellow believers from different ethnic, theological, denominational, and cultural backgrounds to worship our Lord and intercede for New England, where God has sovereignly positioned us at this time.

The Lord is prompting many Christian leaders in New England to facilitate corporate multi-church gatherings that express God's heart to unify the body of Christ. Many hear the same "witness of the Holy Spirit" and are echoing Nehemiah's call: "You see the distress we are in, how Jerusalem lies in waste, and its gates are burned with fire. Come and let us build the walls of Jerusalem, that we may no longer be a reproach.” (Nehemiah 2:17).

Our greatest need today is to recognize what the Holy Spirit is saying to the body of Christ in New England at such a time as this. Whether you are a ministry leader, a lay person, or an intercessor, we invite you to come and hear what the Lord is saying to His Church.

Getting there on the T: Tremont Temple is located 2 blocks north from Park Street Station (Green and Red Lines) or 2 blocks south from Government Center (Blue and Green Lines) or a few blocks up School Street from Downtown Crossing (Orange Line) with a left onto Tremont.

Limited validated parking is available at One Beacon Street. More reliable parking is available at the Boston Common Underground Garage. Enter on Charles Street South. Directions to Tremont Temple

State House Tour with Dr. Paul Jehle

Senior Pastor
New Testament Church of Cedarville
Date:
Friday, Mar 30

Time: 10 am to 12 noon (arrive at 9:30 to go through security)

Where to meet: State House, 2nd floor, base of Grand Staircase

These well attended State House tours, conducted by nationally known Christian worldview expert Pastor Paul Jehle, highlight the Christian roots of our State as it is illustrated through the initial laws, seals, and murals in our Capitol.

Pastor Jehle writes: We concentrate on the primary sources that reveal our original covenant of 1630 as well as the roots of our State Constitution in 1780. The murals, sculptures, monuments and seals of our State are filled with Biblical and Christian illustrations and references. Let us be inspired to restore the influence of believers and statesmen who are not ashamed of our foundations and the guidance it gives for the issues we face today.

Note: Keep in mind that we are entering a highly secured area, like an airport. Plan to bring as few items as possible. Arrive by 9:30 AM so we can start on time.

Registration is not necessary. For more information, e-mail Paul Jehle or call 508-888-1889.
